In March of 2017, 15 of our Panhellenic women traveled to Nuklipur, Nepal to break ground on our second Circle of Sisterhood school. Our women immersed themselves in the culture of the village; living, working, and eating with host families as well as community members throughout their stay.
Each day our women worked digging foundation, laying brick, mixing concrete among other tasks to set the foundation for the school. As well as working, our women engaged in cultural workshops including a gender talk with the women of the village to discuss the norms of their respective cultures. Our women will tell you that spending time with the women and children of the village was the most rewarding experience and the bonds they made will last a lifetime.
We are so proud of the women that participated in this experience and are excited to share some of their memories with you!
