A Letter to Parents,
Hello and Welcome to Clemson! We consider Clemson parents to be just as much a part of this family as the students. We understand the stress and worry that comes with having a child leave for college and know that the primary recruitment process can sometimes add to the uneasiness. Our goal is to make this a fun and comfortable time, rather than a nervous and anxious one. As out-of-state students, we can completely relate to the stresses of all the unknowns that come with entering such a large school and particularly, the recruitment process. Please know that your daughter is at a school full of friendly people that truly want the best for her! We believe she will find a strong sense of security in joining our Panhellenic Community. While it can be overwhelming, stressful, and exhausting at times, we encourage you to push your daughter towards independence and to embrace the unknowns with her. She is on her way to becoming part of something much bigger than herself and meeting new friends from all over the country- what a cool opportunity! We speak from experience when we say that our parents were an exceptional source of encouragement throughout our recruitment journeys and know that you will be for your daughter as well.
We look forward to welcoming your daughter to Clemson and our Panhellenic Community in August!
